I have changed to a new battery varied the distances and angle between the remote and the unit without success.

Unplugged the unit for about a minute.
With the newer systems without control buttons on the radio it s nice to have multiple remotes to conveniently adjust funtions on multiple devices.

I happened to find this solution online and decided to try it out.
Even works on wave iii new wave iv systems which i have original remotes.
I replaced new batteries in it and it still did not work.
Have you tried a power cycle on the system by unplugging for 30 seconds from power.
Clearly it has some kind of backup because i unplugged it for an hour and it still had correct time.
For model specific troubleshooting information consult the manufacturer provided user manual.
Although bose wave models share similar components and operational characteristics each model varies slightly in its features.

Ok i do not have a battery compartment on mine not on the bottom not anywhere that i can see my model does not have buttons on the case it is remote only.
